![]() The San Diego Ramblers is a local chapter of the Holiday Rambler Recreational Vehicle Club (HRRVC) which was founded in 1975. We are one of the California chapters that are affiliated with Region VIII of the International HRRVC organization. Our 30 or so members live mainly in San Diego County; however, we also usually have members from Riverside and Orange counties which make up southern California. We are dark during the summer months of June, July, August and September when many of our members go on summer trips including the HRRVC International Rally. The California State Rally is usually held in October and December is reserved for our Chapter Christmas party and dinner. We periodically have lunch “camp-ins” during these dark months where the members who do not leave the area can have a social gathering. Our regular campout activities usually start on a Thursday and last until Sunday morning. Typically, after arriving Thursday, there is an early evening Happy Hour then a potluck heavy hors d’oeuvres dinner. Each campout has a different set of wagonmasters (hosts) who decide for that particular campout what the breakfast, lunch and dinner concept will be. The wagon master may prepare everything, there may be a potluck, the group may all go to a restaurant or the meal may be “on your own”. Most days, after dinner, card or domino games are played in a clubhouse. There will always be a Chapter Meeting at some time during the campout. At the discretion of the wagonmaster, a continental breakfast may be offered on Sunday before departing. Chapter dues are currently $15 per year payable on or before November 1. Prerequisite to membership in the San Diego Ramblers is a membership in HRRVC. For more information concerning the Chapter contact the Membership Chair PHIL SEEBURGER at |
